Faith is a few months old now and earlier in the day, Phoenix said she’d been away almost a month. Prior to that, they were giving Faith bottles. Now she’s suddenly going to breastfeed? That is ridiculous. That’s something that has to start at birth or not at all.
How is Kace closer to Serefina since she was sleeping with Jedrek and it was that relationship that’s still causing trouble between Jedrek and Lilac?
I have mixed feelings here. I feel a little bad for Jedrek but after the way he treated Lilac, he doesn’t deserve her. Maybe since the mate bond is gone, he’ll give up on her coming back and go with somebody else. He was only with her at the beginning because of the mate bond, even though he continuously thought about Serafina. I do want to know about Lilac but I hope she’s found somebody who loves her because he loves her, not because of a mate bond, and they’re living their best lives with a housefull of babies.
No mate bond, huh? I don’t think that will matter for Kace and Hope but I wonder what that will mean for Jedrek and Lilac. Remember when he asked her if she would stay with him if there was no mate bond, and she didn’t answer? Methinks Jedrek may have a lot of making up to do, if it’s not already too late.
Jedrek doesn’t deserve Lilac. I hope they all survive but Lilac deserves a mate who is in love with her, not only held to her by the mate bond. As far as I’m concerned, he sealed his fate when he held and cried over Serafina and declared he loved her even after she was dead, all the while Lilac had to stand there in front of everyone and watch. There is a time for forgiveness and a time to cut your losses and move on. Lilac deserves better. At the beginning, the Donovans weren’t supposed to have mates so they’re accustomed to being alone. The Moon Goddess gave them another chance. Jedrek wasted his.
I still hope Selene will sever Lilac’s bond to that jerk and give her some one who will voluntarily choose her for herself, and not be stuck with someone who is only with her because of some predetermined plan. If she doesn’t have to die like she was raised to believe, she should at least be loved.
I see what you’re saying, Sawantp but in my opinion, it’s too little, too late. Serefina was part of his past. Now that he’s made her part of his current life, even after lying to Lylac about it. He seriously needs to take a long walk off a short pier. He may be a king and a Donovan but he’s no better than an average self-centered jerk. At this point, he doesn’t deserve Lylac, whatever his reasons.
I don’t think Jedrek is necessarily a bad person but knowing he still had unresolved feelings for Serefina, he never should’ve involved Lilac at all. That was just him wantIng to have his cake and eat it too. Given his actions now, he doesn’t deserve Lilac even if that does mean he’s alone again. The author went around telling how Serefina had touched everyone’s lives and how they’re all grieving. If they’d all stayed, it would’ve been different. Heck, even Jedrek’s Beast knows he’s screwing up.
I hate this and I hope there’s someone for Lilac who deserves her devotion. Yes, Jedrek and Serafina have a long history but that was the past and they decided to keep it in the past. If they wanted it to continue now, they shouldn’t have brought Lilac into it. That was cruel and selfish on their part. Like I said, I hope there is someone else to help Lilac heal. Jedrek doesn’t deserve her, no matter what the Moon Goddess decrees.
I hope you’re right. I don’t really understand this mate bond thing but it seems predetermined, almost like an arranged marriage. Jedrek has no voluntary choice about Lilac but his heart did choose Serafina all those years ago and he still cares.
