I haven’t read this book but from the synopsis there’s the early problem of making him exceptional yet still have time to do fun stuff. Alot novels try to humanize cut throat ppl which i find wierd when most cut throat ppl are putting in effort to make sure whats been built stays stable rather then spending time on actual hobbies.

This is good but it doesn’t portray enemies too mcuh further tha ruthless and the workd is too dark to be normal. Bottem line I guess is that if your willing to deal with how this novel marginalizes villains itll be enjoyable. Be more interesting if the enemies are portrayed as people both good and bad, but still crushed because of ambition/morals/etc. It could give this novel grounds to turn this mc past a self insert.
