I love the 'field' typo. it immediately brought to mind a field full of hate, like red flowers blooming or something just as silly, like flowers with hands curled into fists with just ooooone finger sticking up above the rest. .. you know which finger

all I can think is what a master manipulator Lizzy is. gotta hand it to you, author, most people do not write manipulation so well or so subtly. this is very well done with all the little points from described expressions, setups, reverse psychology, and gaslighting. beautifully done. more and more I think the little girl who died in the hospital in Korea was the author, and that she's possessed Lizzy and had lost herself to the story to feel as alive and loved as possible.
