The system doesn't promote laziness. This idea is that.
Those are usually worse. They're made by contrarians, meaning they change the basic premise normally used only to be different and not for any meaningful reason.
"Friend of the author... honest review..." Who are you trying to fool? Here, let me fix this for you. Honesty is the best policy. "Friend of the author... biased review..." See a moderator reviewing a story and saying they're a friend of the author? Don't trust that. Never. It is essentially as useful as spam reviews that'll have the thumbs-up emoji printed out 250 times. So, basically, not at all useful.
"Anybody with speed..." What if you can't see them? Smell them? Hear them, even? What if they hide their body heat by moving colder air around themselves? Undetectable. HP magic is insane. There are no rules. Everything is intent-based. The sheer amount of options a wizard from HP has makes me dizzy. They can freeze your body, make you blind, lock your legs together, take over your mind, make you kill yourself for them, wipe away memories, and alter reality with a fucking luck potion. It is genuinely ridiculous how OP they are. You aren't the first idiot to think a gun is an end-all-be-all for them. News flash: A gun kills everybody. The difference? Not everybody is a wizard, mate. Just the knowledge of the Killing Curse would have the Clock Tower from Fate designate a sealing order on the entirety of Wizarding Britain. Mix HP magic with almost any other power and watch a guy win. The other speng who said they'd dodge and use a gun? Good luck. Spells move FAST. Faster than a 100mph fastball in baseball. That's less than 0.5 seconds to react to one. Imagine trying to dodge four of those coming at you?
Grammar, where is it? Am I blind? "What does this even mean? I need to go see a therapist. I've probably read one too many fanfictions."*
One of the best fanfics out there? What? Absolutely not. Zero percent. You've just done a madness. Go check out the better stories on FFnet. Webnovel is not filled with anything even remotely close to "the best out there."
So you're one of those authors then. The type to not write even a completed chapter before posting it and saying they'll write advanced chapters for their Patreon. Got it. News Flash: No one wants to buy advanced "chapters" when you can't even be bothered to write a full one. You're posting in parts.
"The magic system with little to no rules, with the few rules that exist easily able to be worked around, and can alter reality and kill with two words, is D-tier." - The idiot that made the review.
That's mostly just Webnovel fanfics tbh. I don't think these authors can help it since the readers refuse to tell them how bad they are at writing. Enclosed spaces, narrow worldviews, and all that other good stuff.
I sometimes wish that these Webnovel authors would learn what English is. We don't always get what we want.
