Nah I think the MC is the reincarnated master, he just doesn't remember. The ML is also the real disciple of the drama they are making. It would explain everything like why mc was chosen from start to their chemistry between them. And also why the ML actually dont wish for the drama to be written or filmed it is a painful past from themself. Also all the buffs he gets from the system are all skills cultivaters have. Luck is a must to reach immortality they also don't need sleep, have night vision and they dont need food etc etc. It would also explain his interrogation on Mc at the dinner as well as his confusion when he didn't hear him say his master. And lastly it also explain the obsession over how MC is not portraying the master correctly yet.

Ugh why a cliffhanger it is so good

Whuut another ML ugh I'm not so sure I want that so early on they haven't even started bounding yet nor had alot interactions
