I wasn't referring to the strength of the characters' bodies, I'm telling you that the opponents CAN tell that it will be a feint due to the amount of energy placed into said feint. It takes the same amount of energy that you use to initiate a swing to stop said swing. It's called the Work Energy Theorem. A feint isn't meant to make contact. It's supposed to divert attention. A full force swing in needs a full force swing out. That's easily seen through.

Fencing is mainly a stabbing and slashing form of swordsmanship. The blade used makes it easier to change angles. But I will say, though, that I don't know much about fencing as it wasn't spoken about much in class.

Not all feints are the same, but all feints can be seen through. "I feint a slash to the left and slashed to the right." This will not work. Physics is still at play here, so you would still have to pull your hand back from the fake slash. Visually, it's not difficult to see that the person isn't putting much strength into the slash (too much strength and the feint would be difficult to perform).

True, but anyone with knowledge pertaining to swordsmanship can easily counter that tactic. You can't base your while sword style on a trick like that.
