Of course. you got to take in consideration how strong the androids were. even though they're not strong as they're in cannon, they're were still strong. even Kaioken ×23 didn't do much to them. UI gave him enough power to beat them you also got take in that shin wasn't at full power. he used a lot durning their fight earlier. he was also on the brink of death if the kamehameha wave was fired at full power then yes, he would have kill them. but since shin wasn't at full strength, they barely survived

Shin always had UI it was innate. It's just that he didn't know to unlock/ use ultra instinct. The battle with the androids pushed him beyond his limits and his body subconsciously activated it His training montage wasn't useless as it opened up his path of evolution that only he will achieve and nobody else. I made sure that Shin hero name would be Sun Wukong as I had been thinking about it for a while As for Goku...I had a really hard time thinking of a name for him. I choose Great saiyaman because of Gohan. if you have any good names for him, I'll be more than happy enough to change the name(I didn't like it either and as I said cus Gohan)
