peak of mid-level high-rank.... honestly, so far the ranking system in this story is the only thing I really find annoying. why not just mid-level high-rank? are we soon going to see, early stage of mid of peak of mid level highrank or some similar nonsense?As for the rest of the story, it think it's not bad, may not be the greatest but the author clearly took his time properly giving each character some personality to the best of his ability. so far so good.

have you lost someone close before? The unfortunate truth about humans is that we change with time and that's as good as it's bad. You'll feel bad, sad and many more but with passing years, it'll slowly be more bearable. That's why you see some people can eventually get to the point of joking about their dead family, friends and lovers without breaking down or while smiling. It's not about forgetting them, it's that overtime you meet new people who also want the best for you and you realise those that left you wouldn't like that either. That's one of the reasons why consolation works specially if it's done by someone close. In this case mc is complaining but he wasn't when it was the Dr that was consoling him. People need emotional support no matter who they are and if they don't at the moment it'll still catch up to them eventually no matter how long it takes.
