The world is interesting and the characters are cool too. The translation does the job and the beginning of the story got me hooked quickly. Unfortunately, the story rapidly got worse once the system was integrated. I am honestly tired of systems, to begin with, but if they are implemented well then I can look past them without any negative thought to the story. Sadly that's rare and this one is not an exception. I think the story would've been much better by just not introducing a system. So what's the problem, well this technically gets into spoilers but they are minor and all introduced very early. For starters, he gets an item to copy people's abilities super easily and multiple of them. Granted the skill he takes will be a random one from a person it's still bizarre to me. He can become a master in a topic from gun-wielding to pretty much anything you can think of just by using an easy-to-earn item. Then there is the even bigger issue the system makes him do stupid stuff that ruins the immersion. The first one is he is asked to make 100 people give thanks to him and he ends up acting stupid to do it, and no one even questions him. To some, it may be small, but to me, it pulls me out of the entire story.
