This is kinda true. You can see text and words in dreams and decipher meaning from them, but the symbols themselves 99% of the time will not match what you are actually “reading”. Its more of your brain creating impressions of words in place of symbols, so you can swear up and down that you read a book, or a sign, or an article, or whatever and UNDERSTAND it (which you did)- Until you actually try and remember the phrasing, syntax or specific words. Then it gets muddled. Any of these people saying they can read in a lucid dream are simply experiencing this strange phenomenon.

I cant help but agree. This coupled with the fact that there are many chapters locked behind privilege is quite frustrating. Still though, the grammar and worldbuilding of this novel are leagues above most of the other stories on this platform. I’ll put up with it as long as the quality doesn’t take a dive.
