that would be cool, but it'd sorta destroy the entire world, plus the amount of energy it'd take to generate a black hole would likely be more than the magic of all the guardians combined.

Focusing to much on the action and power of the main character is the worst thing the author could do. This story is about two thing, magic and the broken main character. Seeing his progress as a person is just as if not more important to the overarching story than any sort of magic discovery or conflict, and his "friends" play a key part in his development.

Yeah, but that doesn't take into account any other factors. For example, what if I discovered the cure for cancer, saving millions, but then blew up all of iceland, killing hundreds of thousands? Would I still be a good person, since I've saved more than I've killed?

I have searched extensively, and the only connections I could even vaguely find is the fact that one of the characters in his old novels shared a name with the youtuber. That's it. Different country listed under the authors name, and no other link. All of the claims I've seen I've looked into and they've all been lies. From a tweet about a novel from the youtubers account(that never was made) to screenshots that turned out to be fake.

Nope, I really don't think he is. I've seen this same accusation spammed on 4 other series I'm actively reading, half of which are done by the same accounts spamming it here. Not to mention the fact that 90% of the accounts spamming are saying the exact same things and were created just to spam this, as well as the lack of proof, I have a hard time believing these two people are the same. If you have some actual proof, then that would be great, but I've seen 4 of my favorite writers get accused of being the same person with 0 actual proof, so I'm numb to the accusations to say the least.
