great book. brilliantly written. every characters are very distinct, they don't just fade in the background and they develop.. even a very normal soldier has thoughts and story to tell. the villains are formidable and they don't aimlessly attack the MC. I also like the way that every part of the story are interconnected.

their first meetings are like: Serena: tried to eat the MC Katherina: tried to kill him honestly, what kind of sick romance are y'all into?

i don't get why people are shipping the MC with these vampires, I don't like either of them. not just bcoz they are both much older than him, but also bcoz of their characters. one of them is obviously a psychopath while the other one is too, how do i say this, Naive? too Ms. A type? anyway I just don't like the feeling... I am more rooting for Zayen's mysterious sister or the 4 year old girl he was with in the Abandoned houses.. or someone from the Esthead(?) like for political marriage, it makes much more sense than these homicidal maniacs

This is the first book about vampires that I actually like, (not fan of twilight). Sadly, I'm not self-sufficient yet to support the author but I really recommend to give this a read.

i like bl but hate cheating so I don't understand those who hate on the legal wife like the MC, even though she is the villain. and especially when they have reason to be the villain.. i already hate where there is going....

I think someone is hindering her. why are they serving him foods that he can't eat right at the moment? for a duke 's household, those servants are so useless.
