Is it the same Demon working with the shades and the witches. Did Marie give the other witches information on how to numb Skender’s Demon and a more powerful witch was able to make the spell worse?

I think that Ares being a dragon tamer/breedmate is what has made the dragon’s blood work on him & helped him survive so far versus the other test subjects. Perhaps in the same regard the King survived because he is related to Ravina who is also a breedmate, but I’m not sure. I just hope he wasn’t Malachi’s sister’s dragon tamer. That would be horrible if it was him and his men that did that to Amal. The only thing that makes me consider that is he was a pirate, and that they said that it was rare to have a human breedmate. I would think this would have come out though, and I don’t think he would be able to block that out.

I just had a crazy thought, and I hope I‘m off track. Could Ravina’s Uncle and Ares be wanting to include her as an experiment/test subject? Do they have plans to inject her with Dragon Blood, and that’s why Ares wants to have children with her, to see if next generation with both parents would be superior? Is it possible that Corrina was being used as such and managed to escape to the dragons?

She is going to be in for a wake up call when after spewing all this anger, she feels sad instead of satisfied. She’ll probably brush it off as pity, but just like she started to feel with Ares, her heart is opening.

I hope not, but is it possible Ares knows Corinna is dead or is somehow responsible for it? This would be the only thing I could see Ravina ending her life over. She was willing to let her sister go when Ares asked if he found Corinna and she wanted to stay with the dragons. I think if this is the case the King is even in the dark of it.

Now I’m wondering who else he meant she would blame. Bram is my first guess. Is it possible she would also blame her own father? Ares seems to simple an answer. It’s so hard for her to trust anyone. Could Ester be shielding her from something? I’m wondering if she will feel betrayal by all keeping her in the dark and that’s what will lead her distancing herself further. If she feels she has no one left in her circle to trust that could make her run to the enemy. I hope one of the dragons that got killed wasn’t Malachi’s sister.

Glad I took my blood pressure medicine before reading! Poor Ravina reliving her past while trying to save others. Her reputation of being cold hearted is just the wall she built, not only would she do anything for her sister, but she is risking her life to protect villagers she doesn’t know. I think her invention will stop this dragon from another soldier or perhaps as another reader suggested from Ares. I’m wondering what the word/name Ravina saw on the paper means. I wonder if she would be able to duplicate the symbols by memory or be able to get another look at it, and ask Malachi.
