I'm hazarding to guess that it is either her ex or his "aspiring" wife.
Me, grinning like an idiot, thinking of Alessio's reaction when he finds out that Neveah is Jian's true bonded. I wonder what Veah's dad will do to Lothaire when he gets back and discovers where Eira has been all this time.
I feel bad for Menarx for this - being bonded to nd having to live decades with someone whom you should never trust. I'd like to swe Jian's reaction when he finds out the extent of fae treachery.
First Menarx, then Jian. Only Xenon left to unceremoniously stick her with his reverse scale.
Ah! If he kills Kaideon, Veah will pursue him with a vengeance. Especially in light of thr fact that he is someone she actually knows of.
Life is hard for Hai Xi sha. I imagine this is the inside life of many agents with bad-tempered artists.
He hasn't liked her for so long without picking up wisdom đ
Perhaps not literally planned the ambush, but as they are in touch in with each others feelings, and understand how they think/act, it would be easy to roll with the punches.
William is a selfish and indecisive wuss. Everyone has a choice, and he made his - his mom over Lea. Not saying he was wrong in this, but he should accept the choices and the consequences. Lea feels suspect as well. If she is dodgy, then she and William deserve each other. I know nothing of Sam, but can we ship him and the FL?
Based on what is known of the mate bond, it feels unreal that things play out this way - especially given the possessive inclinations of wolves and dragons. However, I will acknowledge that this is JHeart's world, and no author is required to go the route of others. I still feel Xenon is getting the shorter end of the stick somehow - he found Veah first, but Jian being King and being the true bond mate gives him a more official standing. This their brotherhood bond is quite something. I was thrown off by how Xenon patiently waited to the side while Veah and Menarx almost got hitched. I suppose the reverse will now be the case.
While Veah is part wolf, part dragon, I think it would be cruel (to any parties involved) for her to have one fated mate per specie. It will be tragic for Jian to have been Veah's dragon mate, and given that up to spare her life (if that is the case). And 3 interests in one brotherhood alone! Poor them.
Menarx caring about Adrienne killing herself isn't a bad thing to me. However, it appears illogical for Veah to hold onto something that is literally causing her pain and putting her in misery - possibly preventing her having kids with Menarx. She did well letting him go. Of course, the fact that her wolf has struck Menarx off is another nail in the coffin. In all this, I feel for Menarx. Between his fated mate that he doesn't want, and his chosen mate that he can't have, his future romance-happiness appears non-existent.
