Wade's body is like that because his mutation enhanced both his healing factor and the cancer. Because of this, Wade's body is in a constant state of healing because it would destroy the cancer cells only for them to come back stronger with his healing factor also growing stronger as it goes against the cancer throughout Wade's body. Wade's appearance is the result of this, if his healing ability was to be enhanced, then he would look like a regular guy and his cancer would thus be gone.
