Uhm.. apologies if you didn't like it, But I think what he did was pretty reasonable. See, the first thing he did was try to find some shelter from the cold, and when he happened to encounter the young girl, he did think of just stealing her cloths, but didn't go through with it. You have to remember that the MC was a college student in one of his past life, so his moral compass is already set. There wasn't much that he could do anyways, so he just tried to help the girl, it just so happened that one of the thugs that killed him found the both of them.
