yup, that's what causes anemic shock, if I ain't mistaken, the white blood cells fight off the enemy blood going thro the system. casuing seizures, muscle spams, all around agony, and potentially cause black necrotic rot to form on the limbs. The right blood type is what makes sure the doesn't happen, and thus doesn't lead to anemic shock. regardless of blood type, tho, dead old rotted blood will cause anemic shock 10/10 times.

maybe it's part of the position, with the knights taking on stewards they teach the path to and is taught that way. That way the path is kept going forever, by word of mouth through teachings. Could also have done some magic bullshit that has an rng for each path that it shits out whenever a new knight is sworn to service
