Reading my own comment is making confused. What i am suggesting is make him an original vampire plus a witch not a siphoner + vampire but a full on witch and have all the advantages of the original vampire spell this way he would not be a easy to kill

Make him a heritic that still retains his magic due to the original spell being adapted to his body giving a new physiology example: he could have all the advantages of a vampire but does not have a need for blood becuz his magic sustains him . Plus an affinity to dark magic

Entertaining and interesting concept plus alot of potential for better plot no matter what anyone says pls don't drop this novel
