So by correspondence , even when the MC performs exemplary on a quest(I'm assuming side stories end up with ratings? ) he'll ultimately receive only a fraction of his altogether put efforts no? and since he's gonna face higher difficulty for a task others won't , he'll also have to invest higher with the possibility of failures in the side quests isn't it ?

before I jump headlong into the story, is the curse something that would remain permanent or do you have any plans to get it removed? coz from a logical standpoint, it just seems excessive in the long run and quite frankly, unnecessarily disadvantageous.

of course, in the long run it actually will not matter since he's going to be a magus soon(and magus are much stronger than knights) but it will be useful for him to train stronger subordinate knights(just a random thought really )

thanks for the chapter!! also just a curious question, is he going to be a warlock like leylin did? coz an orthodox magus seems to have a lot of potential and it would be quite interesting (you could try to change his talent since he has accumulated souls of like 3 lives)

really? that's surprising. I've seen it being used a LOT of times in Hindu ceremonies(mostly during like the visit held for the dead before being cremated, for example)

you know, the reason leylin took the path of a warlock was ultimately because he lacked the talent to become a orthodox magus. since the mc seems to have gotten rid of this issue, why not try to make the direction of his advancement different? coz even the standard magus path has atleast potential to reach rank 8 and it would avoid all sorts of heedless confrontations with snake dowager

it could be possible that he, like jiraya in canon might have reverse summoned to ryuchi cave but didn't actually know the geographical location of the snakes
