The only uses of Oppai's power in the later volumes of the novel are when he used Rias's boobs to gain stamina (which was his predecessors' idea) and the announced engine that will probably transform AxA into ExE.

And as I mentioned later in my previous comment, the omnitrix was able to pick up the Codon Stream signal in other dimensions, so theoretically just as MC is able to sense the cosmos of his otherworldly loved ones, the onmitrix should be able to connect with Primus.​

We are talking about a prototype - the final version stores information about DNA within itself. As such, prototype of the watch could act in unexpected ways, so easily cutting it off from the database is a safety feature rather than a disadvantage.

I checked the wiki again and the description of how the prototype works is "When the Omnitrix in question was activated, it opened up a holographic display of all aliens unlocked. When the faceplate was pushed back into place, it emitted a signal that is picked up by the volcano on Primus, then sent throughout the Codon Stream and back to the Omnitrix, with the selected alien's DNA database attached. The selected DNA is then merged with the wearer's DNA, transforming the user into the selected alien." but we don't have an example of what would happen if it was disconnected from the Codon Stream because it never happened. However, you probably have the right that traveling to other dimensions would not necessarily mean that the device would not work, "The connection between the Omnitrix and Ultimatrix and the Codon Stream seemed to be remarkably strong, able to traverse dimensions; Ben was able to transform while in the Null Void, outside of the universe in the Forge of Creation, in a parallel universe, and even while trapped in a video game." but it does not change the fact that Azmuth could use the second receiver.

I would like to point out that the omnitrix prototype does not have alien DNA stored in it, but only receives it from the Codon Stream.
