So, it's not the question that offended her, it was the blatant disreguard that her head was legit exploded in front of the pact maker and she did nothing about it other then say "why were you violent(after your head legit gets exploded still having the sensations of it happening and then feeling your own head reconstruct cell by cell)". Also the MC is becoming more animalistic as the chapters go on. Meaning that her memories of the old world(earth) are fading into obscurity and the notion of being human is not apart of her. The memories are replaced with the animal instinct but still hold her personality and ability for speech in a sense. So her emotions are erratic in the sense of it has a much more emotional impact towards herself. So in this case questioning her rather then asking if she was alright made the girl sound selfish and didn't respect the pact created by the two of them. I hope this answers your question.

So to medigate your confusion this is what's happening in this chapter. Currently Seraph the MC is walking around exploring what this worldnhas to offer. She currently has two tails of nine as a Kitsune, so her power is limited. The mother is the conciousness that connects eight tails together. during reincarnation from human to kitsune for the MC they had a psychological break causing personality fragments. The mother was hated by the seven of the eight tails so once the personality fragmented they scattered their souls across the world. Seraph stayed with the mother because she saw mother was hurt and wsnted to heal her wounds. And now whenever Seraph sees another tail mother takes control to consume them to bring them back to full power. I hope this answers some of your questions.

I am estatic for your review, and I asure you and the readers there is just one MC. They are just suffering from a extreme case of personality fragments which they will collect over a long period of the storyline. I'm going for a long term impact towards the world and events that are influenced by the MC or is influencing the MC. To clarify the MC is an incomplete form of the Immortal Kitsune, as the storyline goes they will go across vasts distances and adventures with many important and unimportant characters that will have some influence in the world or faction they belong towards. I'm not trying to spoil too much of my mind but I thought i'd just clarify this with yourself and others with like minds. There is one MC just regaing her lost "tails" as sbe explores the best and worst of what this world has to offer.
