why exactly do you think that way? it gives the reader an idea on all the characters perspectives that we possibly wouldn't know about that would progress thr story further. the last POV for instance, we didn't know Diane would think that finding this boy's character would be "exciting". if we left off where Jay's POV ended, we would think that she was eyeing him suspiciously.
