The Demon King Saving System
MR
(Two POV)
Immortality was supposed to be a gift.
To Daemon, it was nothing but a curse.
The first chain was his own body, a body that refused to let him die no matter how many times it was killed, healed, broken, and put back together again.
The second chain was the collar around his neck.
Trapped inside a facility that experimented on children born with supernatural powers, Daemon learned the rules of his world early.
Pain was routine.
Hope....was not real.
Kindness came with conditions.
And death, the one mercy he wanted most, would never be granted to him.
At first, he screamed.
Then he begged.
But no matter how many times he wished for everything to end, his body always returned.
So one day, when he could no longer beg to die, Daemon made a different promise.
He would kill them all.
That was the only thought keeping him "sane".
Thats it until she appeared.
A strange girl with frightened eyes approached him, her small hand trembling as she reached toward his. Daemon did not know why she came to him. He did not know what she wanted, what she was hiding, or why someone so obviously afraid would willingly step closer to a boy everyone else avoided.
He once asked why she was doing all of this, she said it was all to save the world one day.
What a ridiculous thing to say.
Why would anyone want to save the world?
What had the world ever done to deserve saving?
Still, Daemon listened to her nonsense quietly.
He did not know that the girl carried a secret meant to change his fate.
He did not know that her hand would become the first warmth he remembered.
And he certainly did not know that, among all the chains forced upon him, she would become the first one he never wanted to break.
(An idea I wanted to try it out, I will be trying my best to update both this and my other ongoing novel, hope you enjoy!)
(Writing is my hobby, so I’ll aim for about 3–5 chapters a week! No chapters on weekends, though!)
