From now on I'll probably start judging novels at a higher level, used to think "its good for a novel" but now I'm just looking for good, if you know what I'm saying

6/10. An okay read, more of something to just read when you're bored. There are a few discrepancies where in one part the MC uses soul pain as a torture method saying the pain is unbearable if dealt to the soul, but in the 2nd chapter the MC's reaction to being hurt directly to the soul is "ouch". It's fairly easy to see these discrepancies but it doesn't really take away from the overall story. The romance is, strange, for example the MC sees herself as a motherly figure for Partner, they then later on form a romantic relationship, yeah. Early on it felt like all the enemies were specifically meant to be weaker than the MC and they weren't exactly challenged or threatened in any way, it did however get better later on. It feels like the MC has no consequences for her actions, like for example she ate a soul and gained a taboo mark, okay? What does that do? Nothing. It also feels like the MC is too overpowered, though I'm not sure this is intentional, or the fact that the author sets up the enemies in a way that there is no challenge for her (like I've said before) 6/10
lost in dream land i see, "he must be 6'4, a basketball superstar, Einstein level intelligent and be well off financially, if he isn't, kiss his chance goodbye" while they're ugly, short, stupid and poor
