My hope is that Lysander comes around because I see no way the hunters would work with Rhain. They are vampires hunters and the enemy is the vampire race. Lysander does strike me as a bit distressed and as if he is conflicted and somehow delaying the process. Maybe my hopeful thinking is reading too much into it but thag pacing and exhalation, he also admitting to not wanting to hurt Rhain but thinking he will get over it.
I understand that you have certain expectations from the author, but not meeting these expectations doesn't equate to disrespect. And you can express your thoughts from your own perspective. I've been following her since her debut book, and I've consistently found her communication to be respectful. If you find it challenging to convey your disappointment respectfully, it might be best to move on. Just because someone hasn't gained your respect doesn't grant you the right to be impolite. She is here to write, not necessarily to earn everyone's respect. If people are dissatisfied with her work, they should offer constructive criticism rather than resorting to rudeness.
I love him too and I am very picky with ML even with Jazzy's MLs so when I like one of them it is serious lol. But I have to give it to Daisy. She is keeping up with him which just makes this romance wholesome because mostly I want to smack one or the other in couples 😂. But I love these two ❤️😍🔥
Hot and sweet 🔥🔥. I love Rhain but in jasmine's stories I do find myself mostly in the FL's corner so I loved that Daisy remained defiant. I do want to see her resist longer but he will make it a torture for her. Go easy Rhain 🤭 or not. Fight Daisy!! I love these two 🥲
We don't know if Roy sacrificed himself. We just know he got hurt while trying to protect his brother. That doesn't mean he wants to be dead or hurt. He doesn't want his brother to be hurt. Both can coexist. Maybe he did sacrifice himself, then I agree Rhain needs to respect that. People are complex though, and many times we know what is right to do but we can't do it. I am just more interested in why, and that is why I love stories that shows inner conflict and the complexity of the human mind. What leads us to make the choices we make and become the people we are. What makes Rhain unable to let go of his brother? Why is be so bent on saving him? Those are the answers I am curious about. I made a comment on why I think he can't let go of his brother. Left them on the later chapters I think.
That was some deep confessions and something for Daisy to chew on and think about. She wanted honesty, she got raw info about him and even herself and the struggles she is facing regarding him. I said before that it is complicated and not her being just this or that and she will now have to think if she wants both. As for Rhain, this might not be the transition some expect, that he is now all honest, all good, all caring. It is exactly what he is telling her. He is not that guy. I mean deception is part of his persona, something he uses not only to lure his prey but also keep his identity hidden. That is the challenge with his character I guess? Can we still like him? If one merely looks from the lens of a romantic hero, maybe not, because he is not.
Choices. Choices. The odds seem to be against Rhain. First the choice of moving on from his brother, we already know that is more than just leaving his brother. It signifies in a way a fruitless struggle. Then there is his adoptive father potentially becoming his enemy and having to fight him. That is the first person to show him any real kindness and offered him much. Not only will it hurt to fight him, but he is also very powerful so if will be difficult. On top of that there are hunters looking for her and he has to make a choice of what will be safer for her. Can he fight them all or will he have to send her far away? The hunters don't seem easy to deal with if even Lysander is eager to find them and finish the famous hunter once and for all. Lots of turmoil ahead for Rhain before finding happiness, if this book has a happy ending. We don't know but I hope 🤞
He doesn't want to let her go but he thinks it is the right thing for her own safety. It is really him against vampires and hunters now, all looking for her plus he has perhaps fight his own adoptive father, which is not only emotionally painful but also almost impossible to win considering the power difference. Tiberius is older and if he is scared then the danger must be immense and keeping Daisy could mean putting her in all kinds of danger. If is a real dilemma he has on his hand and lots of heartbreak no matter what choice he makes
This is really tough. He is leaving his brother he might have to fight against the first person who took him in and showed him care and became a father figure to him.
like I said, two can play this game 😂
I am so excited to see how she will react to his world. So far she has reacted well to everything but I don't know what exactly she will see inside there. And th gloves must be to keep her safe from being touched and known. Can't have enough of this story 🖤
Wow!! This part is just 👌
This chapter was a poetry of sadness with a few smiles. Rhain has since his childhood felt the burden of being the "healthy" one even refraining from playing with other children. He felt his parents neglect and then his mother further put the care of his brother on him, and since then he took that as his responsibility. He put himself through pure misery, just to get his brother a cure, because his own happiness or even peace of heart relied on it. He has known nothing else since his childhood. Now letting go of his brother would not only mean to let go of a family, but it would also mean that all that suffering he went through at the end was for nothing. No one has put him first so he doesn't know how to do it. I think if anything, that needs to be the first step.
