"I think I am in love with you." Her words fell upon me like thousands of rocks. Is she joking or something? How can she say this? I stared at her in utter shock unable to process her sudden confession. My senses were giving up. "But, I love someone else." I blurted out making her flinch. "Oh." That was all she could say. "I'm sorry Jade." I kept my head low in embarrassment. She raised her hand in front of me. "It's okay. Can I ask who is she?" Her voice became muffled. I could see tears forming in those beautiful eyes which made me even more embarrassed. "I can't tell you that, pardon me." I wanted to bury myself beneath the ground. This isn't right. "It's okay. I won't force you. I bet she's the luckiest person. I mean she is being loved by the most amazing man I know." Her eyelids dropped to avoid any tears falling. She was composing herself and I was sitting there like a culprit. "Jade, I hope you-" She raised her hand again and shushed me. "Please, Mr. Vante. I'm trying to control my emotions here. I don't want to be humiliated further. It was nice meeting you. Goodbye." With that, she stood up and rushed out of the cafe leaving me embarrassed and confused. He stood there, looking at her through the glass. She was still passed out. Several pipes were entering in and out of her body. Her breathing was very slow. He was afraid he might lose her. Jason stood next to him, placing his hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He was quite worried about him. Kyle had never been this scared in his life. "Do you know what caused her to pass out?" He looked at her with gloomy eyes. "Well, she probably saw the news about Vante and Jade's car accident, and her parents told me that she was screaming hysterically before she passed out." Kyle looked at him in horror. "Car crash?! When? How?" He couldn't believe his ears. Even though he despised Vante that didn't mean he wanted this to happen to him. He genuinely felt sad. He saved Serena from falling, saving their baby. Deep down he was thankful to him. "Well, according to the news, they said that the car had a brake failure which led them to skid across the road hitting them sideways." He told him. "Did they die?" He said letting out a shaky breath. "No, but they are in a critical condition." He just dipped his head. "You should rest brother, it's too late." He said patting his shoulder. "I am not sleepy at all. You should go home now and rest. Tell mom and dad, that I'll be staying here for the night." He nodded at his reply and slowly walked towards the elevator. Henry was also sitting there with his arms crossed. He didn't say a word after their fight. His parents had gone home since the hospital allowed only a few attendants. Therefore it was just him and Kyle. "If it weren't for you she wouldn't have been in so much agony. You abandoned my sister just because of asl*t who wanted your wealth, not you." He spat in anger. "Henry, I realize that I was wrong. Can we please not talk about this topic right now. We should be praying for her betterment rather than strangling each other in a hospital."
