hm true but your forgetting what the main resources are for inheritances and stuff on that kinda level. We have already seen formations that can refine stuff which would then make all his junk usefull. His instinct is probably hinting at his future advancement or the advancement of his totem artifact. Which we know is gonne require a shit load of stuff. in this case he can use quantity over quality.

I'm saying this now because it's obvious but this relationship won't last, what ever she is doing will garner some ones attention, she will leave. It will cause a divide between them and from her personality wich is clearly an opportunist, I wouldn't be surprised if she chooses her future over him after knowing he is the one that helped build her current strength, making it all possible.

Shooting at 300 metres is difficult. To many variables to consider at that distance which can mess up your grouping. So with out a scope I imagine 500 metres to be insanely difficult.
