In xeir previous life, xey were biologically a male, though most people mistook xem for a female because xey had long hair. When xey were reincarnated though, xey were given the option to chose the biological gender of xeir new body, so now xey are biologically not female or male.
Some non-binary people use they/them as pronouns. I'm just using xey/xem instead, as a new pronoun to refer to a person of neither male or female gender. It's not that I'm using it to replace they/them as a collective pronoun referring to a group, it's that I'm using it as a new pronoun referring to one individual.
That's because Kyōi already put them into xeir stats. I probably should've made that more clear, huh.
