I fully agree the author just keeps making mc op to make him this super kind person who is basically willing to give up his lives for others. And if anyone disagrees then the author will just counter with how modern society is wrong because they actually are that kind in reality 🙄

Haha I get you. I once read a cultivation novel where the family head basically told the mc to leave the family because their talents were too great to be contained in the small family and he didn’t want to stop them and force them to be always help the family since that would cause the family to be the mc Achilles heel. Kind of hate it when the mc is just like oh I have to save all of my family members or it’s my fault that they all die. Like man you’re 21 your parents should be better than surviving than you why does everyone have to depend on you. While the troupe may exist in stories, irl you’ll never find someone that dedicated to their family which causes the story to get sort of icky when the mc is only focused on saving his family
