I was originally planning on including half the battle in this chapter but thought it might've been best to have it play out entirely in the next chapter, so it didn't get cut off. I'll definitely try to make them longer though!

Yeah, it would most likely be easier for Ken to use his magic freely but since he was low on mana he needed to rely on those weapons instead. I'm not too sure what power stones are, but I think you can use them to raise the novels power ranking. At the moment this one hasn't unlocked them yet.

Yep, he snatched the sword from a villager, and the other one was the one he threw at the wolf last chapter.
