Well if it has to be a dragon type from gen 1 to 4, Bagon is great and offers another mega evolution. Also avoids too much of a similarity to Lance and Clair since they prefer the Dragonite line.

When forming an organization there comes paperwork, Zepile comes to mind then as a possible member for administrative purposes with his experience as an antique trader as he has to have the documentation to verify his wares. That also comes with his connections and a way to gain even more funds using him as a go between for anything sold. In cannon he also attempted the hunters exam so he does have the motivation to better himself so he could be a prospective Nen student too. Which if I recall correctly if you train enough people in Nen it’s another way of raising your Star Rank as a hunter which would add more clout to your character.

I vote Wanda, mostly because I want to see a scene with all the family together at one point. Wanda with her family Magneto, Pietro, & Polaris, Emma with her other siblings Christian, Adrienne, and Cordelia maybe the Stepford Cuckoos too, as well as Jacks adoptive family. Could be funny to see Magneto & Xu Wendi talk shop comparing the Brotherhood to the Ten Rings. That and with so many members of the Frost family in one place the Hellfire Club could come up. That & I just don’t get Wanda’s relationship with Vision, never made sense to me, I admit it’s spun some interesting content in the MCU and the comics but in the context of an actual relationship between the two characters it just seemed odd.

Emission could pair well with his archery skills, it’s a rare one too see in stories too since specialists have the most room for a power to cover whereas others while capable of using other categories do so at a reduced rate of capability; so writers seem to go the way with most coverage. Would he only have one Nen type though? With the merge could he technically have whatever the originals Nen type of the body was as well as one the character himself would have? Considering this was a transmigration rather than reincarnation would that impact Nen? Questions to consider

Maybe more of a friendship or rivalry with a member or two. Don’t really see the need for him to join the Spiders but they’ve interacted with those outside the troupe before, possible ally to them when goals align but neutral to their other plans that have nothing to do with him.

Possible MCU characters; What about one of the Eternals? Considering they have to keep their identity hidden it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch for them to have interacted with the wizarding world. Ajak would give you the most wiggle room since her character was shown the least. I’m sure the 10 Rings, the Gate Keepers (Shang-Chi’s maternal family), the Chaste or the Hand have had runs in too. So maybe the Mandarin, Ying Nan, any of the five heretics who lead the Hand although Madam Gao would be the most fun or Stick. Around this time The Pride of The Runaways would be at the prime of their lives so Tina Minoru would have an in since she uses magic herself. Only other people that come to mind are Agatha who was introduced in Wanda Vision being around or her son Nicolas Scratch who was implied to exist with that bunny rabbit that she named but he’s not been shown yet, creative freedom on who you could make him look like though.

Well ideas that come to mind are forming a club while at Hogwarts that could be magical or could be intermixing stuff from the muggle world like books, manga, movies, tv shows or games. Improving your physicality with stuff like learning dance, a fighting style, gymnastics or parkour could be both fun and useful, wouldn’t hurt to have a fit body for what’s to come so incorporating stuff like that into dodging would be useful in duels instead standing in one place while casting or having spells clash where whoever’s gets over powered is just a sitting duck. Maybe go deeper into magic with spell crafting since we know even Snape was able to make his own spells while in school; so take inspiration from other fictional works with magic from books, tv, anime, video games, and etc. Later in the series he could take on a apprenticeship as a next step for what he wants to master, prior to that possibility training, teaching, and learning with his peers and those in the younger years. Looking into incantations, rituals, other focuses besides wands, familiars, as well training in wandless & silent casting while keeping realistic that he and whoever he trains with wouldn’t be overpowered instantly. For summer arcs could have the family travel, we don’t really know much about the wider world. Could use stuff from the Magical Beast prequel series or even have him meet someone from the casts family tree whether it be Newts or anyone else. Traveling also poses the possibility of other fandoms being present in the world since things like Supernatural, Twilight, Teen Wolf, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bleach, Shadowhunters, Being Human, Yu Yu Hakusho, Digimon, Bleach, Sailor Moon, The Magicians, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Percy Jackson & the Olympians could be present with you none the wiser since each of those works kept their existence hidden like the Wizarding World did in Harry Potter. Might even be needed to look into history to see if what’s known about Merlin has any connections to stuff like Kingdom Hearts or the show Merlin. Also stuff like BBCs Sherlock Holmes, Kingsmen, Mission Impossible, Fast & Furious, Luther, Bones, Criminal Minds, Mac Guyver, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Shameless, or etc could be going on in the muggle world as real. Even stuff like Marvel, the MCU, DC, the CWs Arrow-verse, Lucifer, or Young Justice, could be something in the future since Harry Potters first year at Hogwarts was from 1991-1992 and anything from there that might prove the existence of it being present later like cities or well known figures could prove it but wouldn’t cause a red flag when investigated that ends with you on a government list. Your character also needs a goal besides survival though, what does he want in the world, are there any changes he’d like to influence on the world or anything he’d like to dedicate his time to once the Magical World isn’t in crazy fluxes of danger. At the end of the day you have plenty of options on where to take this story, I look forward to seeing what you put out though. Keep up the great work 👍

I’m liking where this is going, it’s well paced, he has a plan to get stronger but isn’t automatically over powered, and the self inserts interactions with the setting as well as the characters are genuine. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. As for pairing well there’s at least seven years of story to cover based on cannon, you could even extend it as needed too so while I hope end game is with Harry who says you can’t date other characters before getting to who he stays with for the finale. Have him date a couple of characters along the way; maybe one of his year mates like Draco, someone older like Fred or Victor, or even maybe someone a year younger in the later chapters like Colin since I imagine he’ll want to save characters from their cannon demise so he gets closer to help better characters like Fred and Colin. Anyway great work so far and excited to see what happens next. 😁👍
