I wonder if Morph will realize it was not all Dravens fault like he has held onto all these years. He said it was because Draven rejected Myra, but really if that is the line of thought, one could say that rejecting the crazy witch was what made her target his sister. (Though I don’t blame either of those two for the evil intentions and nature of someone else.)
I didn’t even think of this- that he too has memories he can’t recall. I wonder if they both had to bear a consequence of losing their loved one to save the world.
I thought that he had a child with her. She made a deal or “sacrifice” with the “devil”. I’m super confused as to how he wouldn’t know where she is, that she had his child, or that there were consequences she then had to bear. Help! Lol. My thoughts need some guidance here 😬
Question for the author- if we are using our votes for your books, is there a preference between this one and Witch’s Daughter. They are both amazing and I love how they play off one another. I’m not entirely sure how the platform works but it seems like there is some competition each month among books. Would you rather golden tickets and power stones be voted a certain way?
I guess I’m at a loss here. He married and slept with another wife so that a child could be born. Out of “duty for the kingdom”. She is doing the same- but not only for the kingdom, for him. I don’t understand how this would be different- why would he hate her when he literally did the same thing if not worse?
He married and slept with another woman our of “duty” to his kingdom. Yet, when the woman is required to do the same, he can’t imagine sharing her. Plus, obviously the queen wanted a child of her own, as well. She is not being asked to give her life, but to give birth. Though he initially refused the request for the concubine, he still carried through with it. I think it’s a bit ironic and honestly am a bit happy he can understand the sacrifice his wife had truly made. Now he can do the same.
