Definitely better ways of phrasing it given the connotations. Heart is too often connected to love and romance for it to really work well in this context if the author wants to avoid such undertones.

Sounds like an interesting direction for it to go. Kyle seems like he could turn into a beast.

A solid story with a decent balance of character development, exciting matches and interesting ideas. I like how much the author has worked towards fleshing out the characters and environments, although he can get a little too overly dramatic at times. All in all, an enjoyable read.
