I am not close to Tom. However I heard he passed away. RIP. Tom VanDyke was just a nom de plume. Arran will have to write his own story as the GOD who created his world will no longer be able to finish it for him.

The writing is quite eventful, just takes a while to update. The writer is sick so i understand if it takes a while, as a reader though I've already forgetten part of the plot line by the time its updated, it's just frustrating to have to re-read everything to know whats going on.

It's well known he has a debilitating disease. Someone let it slip it was cancer, my son confirmed it. Either way people need to be understanding that Tom is a writer and it takes time to make good literature. I've tried to contact Tom directly to no avail, whatever it is that's taking his time, I hope he gets well and continues his book.

Not necessarily, these chapters could fatten up and speed along. I find that while writing sometimes it just flows, other times I have to drag it out of myself.

To all of you ungrateful_____! Our beloved author has informed you he is still alive AND still writing. He is composing a symphony of war in the desolation, and took time to release a droplet of suspenseful reading to show you he is still at it. From my understanding he is battling right now against cancer. Much like the desolation this battle is CEASELESSLY FOUGHT! My worry is that he'll expire before he has completed the massive story before him. As we all eagerly await to devour the next chapter, remember it is easy to read about a world and its happenings than it is to create them.

Up to this point I have kept my opinion to myself. If shadow essence is invisible how does one, "blacken the skies", with it? Wouldn't reavers who see through shadow cloak see you even in a sea of shadow essence? This is one of many things I have issue with. Another is the map its self, I think Tom has a wonderful story but should give more time to small details.
