They do realize that Magnus only needs to get her to near death and get marked in order for her to become a liability instead of the protected one. Obviously we don't know every aspect of how they get marked(voluntary or not) but then again neither does Quinn and company. Awful big risk to have bait when there's no certainty she stays safe, esp if they aren't near her.
I would've liked to see Minny get him injured slightly in each of the limbs and on one spot on the face. that way she could've space exploded his entire being and not regened. H had no idea what she was going to do and it would've been a perfect way for her to solo a being she never should've otherwise been able to be in the presence of. Sure itd have taken more time but it'd have also been a perma kill and a way for her to become a godslayer herself.
The newest dalki; Pike. ...Pine went on a vacation in the woods.
Also, why go to a place so risky all for blood. Mundus said they'd take a detour for blood so this guy may not even be one of the 5 (though it clearly seems like he is). just seems like incredibly stupid planning. what if he didn't get Quinn blood in time. he'd look dumb going into the reincarnation cycle after a side quest with quinn and not even putting up a real fight.
OK, I want to know... How is it that Mundus knew this guy would be so hard. Technically that Phoenix pushed Quinn close to his limit and he said that Quinn would need 'more' to beat this guy...but mundus said he had no real info about him either. And clearly he wouldn't know that guy could stop his time ability or he wouldn't have risked himself so casually.
A 'certain' knock. what is this encanto?
Now it makes sense why Quinn and Layla so suddenly had a baby and the way it was mentioned. This is going to continue in such a way that Layla is no longer in the picture (a personal yay for me but I'm still floored he chose her at all) and instead he will meet his child who will have grown up and become a leader of som sort.
oh that's right. I forget xox isn't humanoid either
This was way funnier than it should've been. but I'm picturing some stupid msg like exactly that.
Agreed 100%. I like that the author can throw some curveballs and rationalize it as 'well the system isn't perfect and also learns over time'... it makes it feel more realistic. Especially with how far it has evolved since day 1!
I cannot believe I'm actually rooting for Erin right now. I mean I've liked her more since day 1 but she's already been deemed irreparable so she may as well kill off Layla and give Quinn a chance to make a better choice without anyone feeling bad over it.. The storyline is great but the bogus love affair that's a spiraling disaster needs to end before it wastes another 500 chapters and I drop the book. Literally anyone but her. Heck, Peter has better chemistry with Quinn.
OK. I know Leo has a special ability and all. But cmon now Sera... you can't point to a map and say 'we hit here. any questions?' like, ya I've got a question. how's a blind man read a map? Leo can predict movements, see aura, and see outlines/rough approximations of things. All of which in no way helps to read a map. 😑
And before anyone goes for the "look at all the bad things she's done" talk. I want to be clear that thus far there is no proof of Erin doing anything except hunt the vampires. which could be caused by any number of things, like them attacking her first or them killing someone important to her. we haven't exactly gotten much of her backstory, and there's got to be a reason for that.
This is far beyond a longshot and I'm aware of that. but is it possible for zero to be immortui himself? And the person 'she' killed be meaning laxmus? I'm not sure this is as straightforward as we are making it seem. Maybe Erin is playing the long game by getting close with the enemy. I still am hard-core anti Layla to the point I'd root Erin over her (but I'm team Muka) so any glimmer of hope I can create I will do so. lol ...Cue the naysayers now:
This seems like a particularly outlandish thought. But is it possible that Erin finally settled down to have a family (perhaps with a human) and they were killed by vampires because she's a dhampir? Only other thing I could imagine is that her parents were actually killed by vampires not dalki. That one would likely have to be an implanted false memory though.
Ok. Im not thrilled w this chapter. but if muka gets in on the action ill tolerate it. Its very clear Quinn doesnt want to with Hayley. Isnt able to with Layla. Hasnt really shown interest in Erin or Bonny. R.I.P. Helen. But is at least curious about Muka. I like her as a option. The Hayley debacle is funny in its own way but not at all an appropriate match-up.
