Also, he technically was a tribrid currently but he hadn't tried to use magic so far since he changed from baby to what he is currently, and he also hadn't seen a tree being born capable of killing him, so he assumed that he was in a kind of between times, in existing and not at the same time. That's why he had his vampire side active, he assumed, and why he felt it in his guts that his survival depended on Hayley getting pregnant as it was supposed to be and that something would happen at that moment with him.

Sighing, Henrik didn't give too much thought to the matter anymore. There were a lot of confusing things about the existence and non-existence of a person and time travel. He just needed to accept that he was here and now, but one thing he was sure of: he needed to be born at the right time in the church in the future.
