Yes, happy endings. It’s difficult to describe - yes, the others will have tears shed over them, that squeeze in the chest, and that emotional ache all over. But Gar’s multifaceted development, followed by threatening fissures through recent events and then the gravity that hits…this more then stole my breath and froze time for a moment. There is something so pure and innocent about him needing his mama in such a way at this moment, and yet he pulls back from crumbling.
