In case anyone is wondering why MC defends the lolibaba to such extent. Know how different people have different preference for how they want their steak cooked? MC likes it VEAL.
In case anyone is still wondering about the name’s meaning. Xiao Laoshu translates to little mouse. My guess is that the author made a mistake in the derivation. Cause ‘shu’ and ‘xu’ sounds slightly similar when pronouced in Chinese. So, we got Xiao Laoxu instead of Xiao Laoshu.
None of the words you used was ‘bow’ or ‘archery’.

No one gonna comment how creepy it is for a little baby to close the doors on the maid? No? No fuks given? Like, I am a overworked, malnorished servant trying to appease my peasant masters lest I get the hose again. Then, their little demon spawn of an offspring, Chucky here, shows up behind me while I am folding the clothes. Shuts the door on me. Eh, why scream. Just Tuesday. Either a maid with such huge brass balls or the author be tripping.
*Switches to deep, testosterone-filled, grown man voice* Bitch, I asked what’s a third grade citizen. Stop evading the question like the house mortgage payment.
Parent: Because god wills it to be so, my child. Little bastard: Who is god? *Takes thick bible tome from drawer* Parent: Here. This book will answer anything you need. If you can’t read, ask your teacher for help. Toodles~
Don’t understand how anyone can support the mother in this scenario. Not in regards to her character, but her atrocious naming convention. Names are important since we often attach semblance of identity to them. She essentially ****ed with her son’s identity by naming him like a pokemon. As the great Cartman might say, “I prefer to be properly wined and dined before I get FuckEd, mom!” If he does get named like that, guess he can continue the family lineage and tradition by calling his offspring chamander.
Forgive me for being critical, but from my perspective, they are similar. In my opinion, the execution/story telling can be improved if that’s not your intention. For example, let’s talk about the creativity in his craft: assassination. I find it more believable to have a hitman relying more on patience and planning for each assassination rather than what the MC has been depicted doing: running into fights with his dick swinging. And it somehow always end up in MC’s favour cause of plot armor (his system having answers to everything). Next, his philosophy on life. This is subjected to debate cause you are the author, it’s your choice how you choose to flesh out the world. But to me atleast, it is highly unrealistic for MC to be so hotheaded/naive to act on impulses. For example, killing another person in broad daylight. Oftentimes, tge workd isnt sunshine and rainbows. Yes, we know this and want to make it a better place, but would you agree that there are more appropriate steps the MC can adopt in that scenario? Now that you mentioned it, MC personality does heavily resembles Wuxia ones (hotheaded, self righteous)...which in itself is a really cliche due to his background as sn assassin. It feels to me like his background as an assassin exists more as a ‘ex-machina’ than an actual character development tool. It’s introduced just to handwave that yup MC has experience fighting so ‘Wham!’ villain lost...
Plot took a huge dump right here. MC killed a ‘villain’ in broad daylight for a little girl... It’s cliche in the sense where MC background was an assassin. Don’t know about others but when I think of assassins, the words cold, calculating comes to mind. Well maybe it’s my personal bias, let’s say this particular assassin is a hot headed JP isekai white knight protagonist. It gets better....none of the witness gave a shit about MC executing man in broad daylight... So far story seems very wish fulfillment-ish like typical JP isekai stories. Hopefully I am proven wrong. MC doesnt seem to face any imminent dangers or challenges. His system always have the perfect solution for him like fuking Doraemon to Nobita.
No one questioning MC didnt get in trouble for murder in broad daylight? No fucks given? Now, on a subjective note. I find it really cliche to have an ex assassin being such a morally bounded white knight... seems more like a jp isekai protagonist with self righteous beliefs.
Should rename novel as “Hitman with cringe system”. MC says cringey one liners -> Gets rewarded. Hands out disses that makes Eminem blush -> Gets shit all
Yeh, he had a relatable reason to betray them. It’s for more points. It’s like a bunch of people sitting at the dinner table, looking at the last juicy steak. Noone is gonna fault the other for reaching for it and eating it. What the MC did was to deny others from having the steak by breaking their fingers. Then, the MC pulled down his pants and took a huge sh#t on it.
Not gonna lie. That was a really lackluster and unrealistic way to con his butler into eating the pill... Old man has been alive for years. He should know better than eating a random pill from a brat like candy. Hopefully, author improves in plot development in the future...
Commission should be commotion
No way in hell is it realistic that the Oni girl didn’t discuss her ***ploit benefits with the elders. The fact that the elders are discussing Xu Miao’s Schlong as a bargaining chip is proof of that. I don’t think that there’s an actual plot significance to bring her out in this chapter...other than screentime...
Senile father, not grandfather...
Mouth job, blow job, sucky-sucky, mochi sucking. It’s the same stuff, mate.
