This is the pace and time flow difference between real life and the world of the story. I do admit it is the lack of skill on my part to be unable to make it seem like an actual huge amount of time has passed.

It's really up to interpretation. If you look at it as a BL it would feel like a BL to you, if you look at it as an MC getting a harem, it would be like that to you. Similarly, if you look at it as a pure fantasy novel, then it would stay at that. Thank you for enjoying and reading this far.

The world was dog-eat-dog anyways, so the best logical thing to do was to get rid of all rising newbies so that they can continue to stay at the top. That was my train of thoughts and maybe many others have better ideas but this was what I stuck with.
