I would say that this doesn’t make sense in a different way, bc it’s America when I went to basic I was the best shot and got my 2 expert badges (which isn’t hard) but none of my DIs had expert badges at the time, even less so for an officer depending on their jobs, but I may be wrong bc it’s ww2
