He may not realize that Heaven already suspects / knows that he was behind the prostitute. i think he is just feeling the full weight of his guilt about wanting Heaven to be separated from her mate and for making a deal with the devil to do so.

I think he knows that it wasn’t heaven. Because, when he saw her stabbing him he didn’t ask “what are you doing to me? “Or “how could you? “ he asked “did you have to poison it? “ to me that implies that he wasn’t talking ‘to Heaven’ he was talking ‘to someone else’ as if he expected this to happen. He was surprised, not that it happened, but that the dagger was poisoned when it happened.

I don’t think it matters where she stabs him. The fact is, she slows down his healing so no matter how she hurts him he would die before

I think that the thing that is special about Heaven that Zamiel is talking about is, The fact that Heaven is part witch, part demon and even part human. He has already been talking about this in previous chapters. What he is saying is that he doesn’t believe that this is anything terribly useful to the Devil; that the devil would really want. So ZamiEl is still baffled as to why the devil wants Heaven so badly.

I just hope his mate doesn’t turn out to be one of lucifer’s daughters ...

Jasmine, don’t worry about making us wait. You take as many breaks as you need. Yes it is difficult for us, but then when the new chapters come it’s just that much better. 👏😆 Besides it is possible to get burned out on even the things you love. I love sewing; however I’ve done so much of it over the past two or three years that now I almost don’t want to do it any more. If that happens to you then we don’t get to finish the story. I would rather take longer to read it but then get to actually finish it than not. Keep up the good, hard work; but take care of YOU too. 🥰

He is trying to win her by putting the other person down. And then when his plan doesn’t work he’s getting violent. What do you think this shows Heaven about him? If he thinks that this kind of behavior is not going to find its way into his relationship with Heaven, then he is a fool. He’s only fooling himself. Even if Rose was lying, and even if Zamiel really doesn’t love Heaven; watching this sneaky, cunning, and violent behavior from Zarin would not make me want to be with him… So then, Why would Heaven want to?

I have to admit, I am on the edge of my seat about this whole Zarin/Zamiel thing! How is it going to play out!?! Zamiel knew this would happen; it’s like he wanted it to. Why!?! If Heaven does find out, won’t it cause problems? I can’t wait to see what our dear author has in mind!

Well… I guess I have officially switched to team Zamiel... ! it has been happening for a while now, but now it’s official. I agree with everything Heaven told zarin; and, well, the poor kid needed to hear it.

It appears that that is what Zarin is trying to Do, but Heaven isn’t letting Him. If he truly loves her, but can’t have her, the kindest thing she can do for him is to let him go. there is nothing that hurts worse than trying to be friends with someone you have feelings for; all the while, watching that person be with someone else .

I agree that this confession might be too little too late. However in his defense, when Heaven asked him to merry her, she didn’t ask him because she loved him she asked him because she needed a suitor. He was nothing but a tool to her. I can’t imagine that that felt very good to him; ESPECIALLY if he loved her at that point. Had i been in his shoes, I Probably would have rejected her too. That being said, he sure didn’t do anything to actually win her love. he didn’t even try until he was threatened by losing her to another man. Too little... too Late...

My guess is that Lothair had other mates before Irene; because Zamiel is talking about Lothair mating with a human but Irene is a witch. plus humans live much shorter lives than demons so it makes sense that he would mate multiple times during his life span.

I saw the author comment that she is not feeling well and so is taking the weekend off; but will continue updating chapters on the normal schedule this week. I’m not entirely sure what the normal schedule is. maybe tuesday, thursday, saturday?
