Mallory quickly turned her head, then her entire body, before swiftly making her way to the left and bolting out of the room without casting a glance back at Hadeon. By the time she reached her own room, her heart was pounding loudly in her chest, and her eyes were wide with shock. Approaching the mirror hanging on the wall, she stared at her reflection, taking in the black collar now clasped around her neck, with the cross belonging to the pureblooded vampire dangling from it. - JP_reader2017hCommented"I know you are my number one admirer, but barging in like that for a sneak peek? But the moment she tried to do it, a carriage suddenly turned at the corner and almost ran her over if it weren't for the pureblooded vampire who pulled her back from the back of her dress. Mallory eyed the cigar, knowing she could use one to lower the stress he had put on her by turning her into a bait. This man was cruel! He had the audacity to call her a faithful servant and then use her for such dangerous tasks. "They are corrupted vampires. Unable to handle the transition, their bodies have started to crumble," Hadeon explained, his golden eyes watching the vampires circle him. "Unfortunate that they are beyond the point for a chit chat." He had wanted to know who had turned these villagers into dummy vampires to create chaos. Because someone was being naughty and was creating an imbalance. - JP_reader2011dCommentedMallory's eyes widened in horror as the vampire charged toward her, his mouth wide open and showing his fangs. She quickly deflected sideways as adrenaline surged through her, narrowly avoiding the vampire's bite.
