There was another fanfic I saw (I don't remember the name), where the MC started in the world of DBZ, and the author made it so that the MC only observed and any fight only the Z warriors would solve. There were several criticisms that from then on, I don't remember if it was in another world or in this one, the MC really started to take a beating, to become a real MC, instead of just observing. As if we had just watched the original with the only difference being that there was an extra character there as narrator
