I just hope you can try to define some Limits to Extraction, as it seems to me it can extract „concepts“ like Knowledge or cold, which makes it a practically omnipotent power. But it would get extremely OP If he could for example extract „Space“ or „Time“

i promise you it is relevant and will come around for a good plot conclusion. But thats endgame stuff and this novel has (what many others dont have) a long term payoff that, in my opinion, works out very very well. And i also think it makes it all the more interesting that he isnt op because he has memories of a nameless immortal god, but because of other factors that come together wonderfully
