Yeah fuck jibril ; )
I'm sure you are not dumb but just to clarify, that it how manga, manhua and manhuas portrait Americans it is not what my personal opinion
"as long as the church keeps functioning" I'm sure that there will be a huge internal conflict after 7 of the most powerful people do something against their teechings for no porpouse. It is basicly the exact same as the Catholic Church in our world declaring a crusade on France for no reason, people won't like it and will start to question it until it eventually stops functioning hence luminous getting involved
Yeah but that isn't greed that is suicide
Yeah you can greed for a treasure chest in a room full of very obvious and lethal traps that you have no chance getting past, but will you act on said greed
The entire world isn't hyper racist towards monsters, the 2 leading religions are either friendly or tolerant to towards them, completely different from cannon where the one and only religion is against them hence 7 pope guys(who are manipulated BY GREED) would have no reason to attack a nation of spices they are tolerant towards if they did it would raise major red flags and is attacking a new nation realy worth losing 7 pawns which collectively control the entire church?
By manipulating their greed
No, Falmouth did mot attack tempest for greed, it was a nesasary move considering only 5mil out of 30mil gold was tax income, the rest being gained through trade and tourism, both of which will cease if at war, and their country would literally implode if they lost their trade route. There for the optimal choice was to do a sneek attack on tempest's capital and end the war quickly, but due to the enemy having dryads their army could not move undetected through the forest and sent an elite group to strike fast and hard buying enough time for the main army to come In and finish the job perfectly logical and not as suicidal as it would be in this time line. plus their miss placed confidence about being able to defete a demon Lord was because they underestimated their strength, not overestimating their own.
Also dwargon literally has a mutual defence pact with rimuru, in what parallel universe will a man like Gazel Dwargo not uphold his alliances in a war they can very easily beat
Yeah but would dwargon trade with a country they are at war with, assuming they get at least 30-40%of their GNI is from the trade route, if dwargon embargoes them thew won't be able to run their country never mind paying their army. And what happens when you don't pay people who are on the High end of the strength spectrum with other employment opportunities like becoming adventurers available? They desert. Even if they try to keep them by force by funiling the money of those with lower strenth to the people with higher strength and force them to stay, that is just asking for a mutiny! and do you really want a mutiny when you are fighting a nation of NAMED monsters equipped with dwargon weapons?
When?
But anyway just do what you were planning to do, the only reason I just decided to nitpick at every detail is because I was bored so just ignore me
Do you think that destroying your entire economy to ensure a monopoly on a trade route who's only reason it is so valuable is dwargon, a nation which you will go to war against as a result of attacking tempest is greed? If anything it seems like self destruction
Fine, I lose but their greed motive is void
So their motive of greed is void
I forgot to mention that rimuru's alliances with dwargon and Co would be public so on top of everything that I priviously said they would have to knowingly get into a war with 3 different nations, 1 of which is the world's producer of weapons of war which would give your enemies a huge advantage and the trade with your soon to be enemy is the sole reason you are so rich, so just one embargo and bye bye economy.
