With her parents knowing the relationship between them, he wouldnt be able to help her without them thinking shes not capable of doing a generals job alone. Thats why she’s been trying her best to not feel disturbed so zamiel wouldn’t feel like is with her come running.

I dont think its zarin. The book said the demon race was mainly made of males. Her mate is most likely a demon but i think its an older demon that’s been waiting for a lot longer than she has been alive. My theory, hes seen her and knew but couldnt get close to her because of lucian so hes manipulating her dreams to see him???
