So... a spatial distortion caused her to fall out. Well, the next question is, when did she fall out? is it in the past? the future? could sufficient time have passed (or will need to pass) in order for her to get back out? No, wait, is the thing that attacked the entrance actually TLX? Did she evolve in the past and is trying to attack her way out in the present, causing her to land in the past? Is probably what the pro evolution group hopes anyway. I don't remember what I was actually going to post anymore... got distracted...
I would imagine something along the lines of either A. all her friends got sent too, so that Tang would be too preoccupied to look for more treasures or evolve to rare. Or B. People that she doesn't get along with get sent along, and they try to hinder her.
Are we to assume that this "contest" is a talent screening competition where they pick whom they believe would make the best crew to loot the ruins? If that's the case, then I have nothing because I don't know what kinds of shenanigans will be there.
Confirmation Elder yang is secretly a girl. full Yuri harem realized. I wouldn't be surprised if instructor Lan put extra emphasis into destroying the balls.
Why are the illusion formations set up like landmines? In most cases I would imagine an illusion formation to function like an area of effect ability. (spherical with the power source in the center) Where in it is always active and stepping into the affected area would make you the target (unless you have approved keys or are under the targeted cultivation or whatever other requirements it may have).
What are the odds that Elder Yang instantly recognizes Tang through her Spirit Energy as a martial artist? I don't recall any of the preparations covering for that, and tbh since Instructor Lan isn't a martial artist, would she even know how to conceal something like that? And if she did, would she remember? (I think it'd be pretty funny if she wasted all those resources on a disguise that failed immediately.)
I think it should probably be the necklace. I think this mostly because we don't know how strong it is now, and finding out the hard way would potentially be bad. However, I do think it shouldn't be used til after her next evolution because she could get a new ability that could have similar effects, which would make it less helpful. (Honestly, I'm expecting another illusion ability but with things that affect the mind and soul, like her illusions, a passive that strengthens that isn't inconceivable)
While reading this chapter, I began to wonder how much compression is used to make a wind blade and, by extension, the compressed wind blade. Until this point, I had always assumed it was more of a Shockwave like attack that forces the air to the sides to make a wave like appearance in the air. But it sounds more like they are using energy manipulation to hold air in place in the shape of a blade... (This is sounding more and more ridiculous in my head the more I think about it as I write this comment). And I'm actually forgetting my previous train of thought because now I'm distracted by the fact that it seems more like they are directly attacking each other with "bubbles" of wind wrapped with energy, which surely can't be the case? Oh yeah, compression, so how compressed is the air? solid? Enough compression should start nuclear fusion unless physics is different in the cultivation world.(I think a lot of this stems from the fact that wind as an element technically would deal kinetic damage just like well anything you would throw like chunks of Earth, shards of ice, etc, and wind has such low density it's hard to see it causing substantial damage on a scale as small as a blade)
That's kinda what I'm getting at though, seeing as TLX has 3 evolution options (I am assuming here) that it means she has the genetic markers for each of those bloodlines (though a lack of bloodline purity percentage makes it had to say how much may be required in order for it to be an option.) Do other foxes also have hidden requirements that would shift their bloodline upon on evolution to the next tier or is it specific to TLX because she has a system
I was thinking about this a while ago, but does TLX's bloodline just considered royalty because it was historically, or it is possible for her to run into someone with the same bloodline and mistake her for a younger sister or cousin? I know she can shift through bloodlines because of the system but I'm also wondering are all foxes like that? And they don't realize it because they don't have a system, or are they stuck with what they are born as?
Why do almost none of the games promote co-operation? I thought (as it certainly seems) that this was to promote human ingenuity and how dangerous they can be if the foxes don't work together but it's so everyone for themselves that I feel like it fosters mistrust even against their own species.
