what do you think about such an idea?

my current idea is to write a novel about a mediocre actor who is commissioned to act as an villain in worlds based on novels.the plot of the novel would be falling apart because the novel is full of plot wholes and things that go against common sense.so the mc is to act as a villain and help the mc complete the plot.

I want to shelf this idea and rewrite it at a later date, with a more comedic undertone.
