it is realistic, because catching wild pokemon and taming in real world is difficult task but taming a human friendly newborn is easy so iits ealistic then other fanfics who catch pokemon and use in next battle without taming... though even afyer taming a wild one won't make it sure that in future it won't betray you, its pokemon world not any game

he never used them, most of the time he used Nidoking so this will make him realise how important it is to give others chance as well (Though I know I am writer but I wanted to plot it like this, some attitude similar to Paul from anime who uses only powerful pokemon and some like ash who tries to help everyone)
