Maybe she didn't know, or COULDN'T. If she could change her blood, like Vincent suggests, then maybe the powers associated with Sirens were diminished or negated all together. However, if she never knew she was a siren, then that would explain why she was always kind. But then again, I don't know why sirens are such awful creatures. Black witches are created, perhaps Sirens are created in similar ways.
Eve wondered why her mother didn't try to kill the man who had killed her when she could do it. She could turn into her siren self and kill the person, but instead, she had let him kill her and had told her young self to run and fend for herself. - SandraStarliper1mthCommented

The story said the daughter would marry his son, however, it doesn't say she actually did. It IS possible that the daughter is Eve's mom, and therefore making Eve royalty. We will just have to see, though.
